In the Spirit of Creating Partnerships

Shel Reed, owner of ToCura Staffing, and a member of LeadingAge Oregon, understands today’s current staffing issues and has a plan for his agency to work with Provider Members to create strong partnerships between facilities and agencies.

Shel recognizes that many senior living communities have seen questionable fee schedules and tactics from staffing agencies and is hopeful that ToCura Staffing can move forward and create a solution to ensure adequate staffing and care for LeadingAge Oregon member residents and patients.

“My belief is that facilities would prefer partnering with staffing agencies that have everyone’s best interest at heart,” said Shel. “Not agencies that are just focused on their own interests.”

Here are some of the ways ToCura Staffing works to ensure a successful relationship and job placement:

  1. We are a locally owned and operated staffing agency and work to understand your true needs.
  2. We primarily serve LTC facilities in the state of Oregon.
  3. Whenever possible, we provide local candidates rather than travelers. (98%)
  4. You may renegotiate or cancel the master contract at any time.
  5. You may interview candidates before they are placed at your facility.
  6. We agree not to solicit your facility employees to come to work for our agency.
  7. We will not allow employees to move from facility payroll to agency payroll, and then go to work at said facility as agency staff.
  8. We provide a deescalating buyout/conversion schedule. (Example: Buyout amount reduced by 20% at 8 weeks, 50% at 13 weeks.)
  9. We work to ensure that facilities pay rates and the agencies pay rates are within a reasonable variance so that agency staff are more comfortable accepting a permanent position at your facility.
  10. We verify license and credentials and do a background check.
  11. We have all candidate credentials and you may request copies at any time.
  12. We offer candidates on contracts ranging from 2 weeks to 26 weeks.

ToCura Staffing welcomes feedback and honest communication. “Please let me know how we can support your organization,” added Shel. Contact Shel Reed at [email protected]
