LeadingAge Oregon Award Annual Awards Program - 2018

The LeadingAge Oregon Annual Awards Program, which culminates in May at the LeadingAge Oregon Annual Conference, provides an opportunity to recognize the tireless and dedicated staff who are so devoted to making Oregon a better place to grow old.

2018 Unsung Hero Award - Jose Oscar Guadarrama, Rose Villa Senior Living
The Unsung Hero Award is presented to one individual who continually exemplifies service and dedication in his/her profession in a non-resident care capacity.  Potential nominees include dietary, maintenance, business office, housekeeping staff, etc.

2018 Caring Spirit Award - Father Joel Scott Garavaglia-Maiorano, Rogue Valley Manor
The Caring Spirit Award is presented to one individual who continually exemplifies service and dedication in his/her profession within direct resident care. Potential nominees include nurse aides, nurses, social workers, activity personnel, etc.

2018 Innovative Program of the Year - Specially designed puree texture foods, Mennonite Home

The Innovative Program of the Year Award is presented to one LeadingAge Oregon member organization that has developed the most creative and innovative programming to benefit elders.

Silver Star Awards are non-competitive and are presented to any individual who has not already received a Silver Star and has worked at a LeadingAge Oregon member organization for 25 years or more.

Silver Stars receive:

  • Recognition at the Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon at Eagle Crest Resort
  • Complimentary conference registration on the day of the Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, or a $50 discount off full conference registration.
